Are you in need of a little camping on the beach action for your next getaway? You don’t have to go far to find the perfect getaway, just a few minutes away from your home is all it takes. Most beaches across America offer camping on the beach easy to do. The main thing to remember is that if you are going to camp on the beach you are going to need to make sure you pack the right items to ensure you enjoy yourself as much as possible. Not packing the correct camping items could result in you not having the time of your life and you may never get to enjoy the amazing view that America has to offer.
There are many different types of campsites to choose from when camping on the beach. If you decide to go to beaches like the Oregon Coast, you can easily find plenty of beautiful sites that offer camping, swimming, showers and restrooms. Some of the most popular spots to camp are along the California coast, at the Florida Keys, Hawaii and even along the Gulf Coast. The most that you will spend on a camping site for a campground are around thirty to fifty dollars/day and this includes a room. If you can tolerate being away from a full bathroom and room service it can really save you some money.
If you want to get away from the crowd and don’t mind sleeping in a tent then a state park campground might be your best bet. State parks don’t have all the amenities of a campground and the fact that they are actually campsites mean that they offer a lot more space. With that said, you will need to pack plenty of food and drinks, plenty of batteries for your cell phone and even flashlights for emergencies. A state park campground is also a great place for someone with a dog to go with you as there are designated areas for dogs and people. There are also plenty of swimming pools and drinking water. If you are going to use a state park then you should plan on spending about four to six hours in the tent and then another three or four hours out on the beach.
